Saddleback Notes App Reviews

Starts out fine but it can freeze up when typing the text notes. Sometimes it resolves itself after a minute or 2. If not, it crashes and you lose everything if you havent saved. I have gotten use to saving often to mitigate that risk. The thing that drives me crazy if that it doesnt save all the fields consistently. For example, Ill take a bunch of notes, save and then go back to find that no matter what I do, some fields will show as "(null)". Last week it was on a fill in field and this happened. This week, it was all the hidden text notes ">>". Lost about half a page.

I love that I can have all my notes in one place. Easy to use and navigate.

Makes it so convenient for our weekly small group review too....all the notes in one place. The highlighting tool is great and the fact you can write or type will encourage more in our group to use too. I cant wait to show them since I am known as the note taker. Thanks Saddleback for always upgrading everything for us. Having the full outline you can fill in too is awesome!

This is the perfect app for keeping all my notes together and organized. I have been waiting for this app and Im glad that its finally available. Thank you!!!

This is definitely a version 1.0 program. Good effort but needs a lot of work. First - Needs iCloud support, so if I write it on my iPhone it moves to the iPad. Cant delete a note page! Cant change ink color.

Nice but clicked done and my yellow notepad notes disappeared

This is an amazing app, BUT the freehand notes got erased after I closed the app after the sermon. The same thing happened to my friend. I will definitely change my rating once that is fixed.

Maybe Im not doing something right, but it only seems to work in Landscape mode on my iPhone, and I dont like that. I want to have the choice.

Love the app!!! I like having notes with me at all times to refer back too. I would like to see the fill in area to move to a second line if it doesnt fit on one line. This way when reading through the sermon, I dont have to click on the fill in space to read the entire fill in. Also, instead of an eraser that has to be swiped many times to remove a line... A back button that deletes the last line would be better- an undo.

Ive been really looking forward to this app since Rick announced it last Spring. This is very much a work in progress. BUG ALERT The biggest bug is that the margins dont always save the text you write in it. I took a whole page of extra notes and lost them all twice in the same message. Anybody who knows Pastor Rick knows that there are more notes you want to leave a message with than just the filled in blanks. This bug is a very frustrating one. Looking forward to seeing how this app improves in the future. Great start so far.

Similar to others who have used this app, it is a good concept and a great forward progress. But I too have lost not only free form notes, but a couple of entries in the formatted notes section. If there is a way to save it to Evernote, Dropbox, etc. it would be perfect.

So glad to finally have this app. Liked everything about it. Took copious notes book on the outline and on the yellow note pad. Clicked done and.... VERY SAD to learn that all my notes disappeared. Checked on my note pad not there. Please let me know what I need to do differently to save my notes. My notes are very important to me in addition to the outline. Please help!! Also cut off the 2nd - how to keep my resolutions- very bottom of second page.

Dont like that notes disappear and that app is only viewable in landscape mode

Absolutely transformed the way I take notes and wrote more in today than ever... Bad side, all my notes disappeared after I hit done and now all notes are gone... So bummed, planned to share with others.

Not bad so far, but there are a lot of bugs still. Highlighter does not work at all. Freehand notes move around unexpectedly. Erased some of my typed notes as well after closing the app. Other irregularities too. I have been using Notability up to this point which works great, but of course doesnt have the Saddleback notes. Would like to have a record feature too as a lot of times I like to capture certain parts of the teaching right in my notes. All the basics are there though. If you can just get the bugs fixed, it would be awesome!

Love the app.. But once i clicked "done" and re opened it, my notes were gone. Would change my review when this prob gets fixed

I love this app! Love that I am helping the environment by going paperless and able to access my church notes at my fingertips at any time instead of.... Shhh... staying in my car forever. I did not have any problems with my notes disappearing after I pressed done as the other reviews said. It is so much fun and loved that all my notes were so clear. However the highlighter is a little difficult to use. Would love to see the other information that is in the bulletin also accessible on this app. My husband missed church today so I emailed him my notes which was nice. Looking forward to using it again!

Wait for next version. Very bummed that my notes disappeared from my margin. However, Im so excite that we have this and I know the vendor will get it fixed soon! Cant wait to see it in the updates...

when you leave the app and come back....the blue notes off the side are gone :( please fix
